THE MATCH
FC Rosengård (11th place, 20 points) host Vittsjö GIK (6th place, 32 points). Vittsjö arrives in Malmö carrying the momentum of two consecutive wins. FC Rosengård came away empty-handed in their last outing (a 0–1 loss to Malmö FF), but on this side of the Pildammarna park, the team has secured two straight home victories (1–0 against Piteå, 1–0 against Uppsala). When the teams last met—on a beautiful summer evening in front of nearly 1,000 spectators—Rosengård took a 1–0 lead through Klara Svensson Senelius, but Vittsjö equalized in the 88th minute, resulting in the teams sharing the points. These Skåne derbies are traditionally very tight and exciting contests.
